"wisdom" — the accumulation of knowledge coupled with a "CPU" for processing that knowledge

Youman returned to China after studying abroad in New Zealand and joined Guanhe on August 4, 2021. Over the past four years, he has grown from a "blank-slate" project assistant to a capable, independent project manager.

1.What aspects do you primarily value and consider when choosing a company?
I mainly focus on whether there are opportunities for multi-role experience, access to global multicenter trials and new therapies; whether there is a sound career development path; and whether there is a robust atmosphere for learning and communication.

2.What is your job position at Guanhe and what are your main responsibilities?
My current position is Project Manager (PM). My main responsibilities include engaging with clients to clarify project requirements, overseeing and organizing project timelines, managing and coordinating internal execution departments, as well as drafting and managing relevant project documents.

3.What aspects of Guanhe have attracted you to work here long-term?
Firstly, it’s the sense of meaning and mission alignment — I can clearly perceive "who benefits from what I do." Secondly, it’s growth and self-actualization, with a dual-track development path: parallel progression in management roles (vertical promotion) and expert roles (horizontal specialization). Finally, there is a strong sense of psychological security and an inclusive culture, where people feel no shame in admitting mistakes or voicing opposing opinions.

4.Share an unforgettable, touching, or most fulfilling experience you’ve had at Guanhe.
There are many, but the first one that comes to mind is a recent series of pathology projects. These projects involved intricate details, numerous personnel, inconsistent timelines across sub-projects, tight deadlines, and high requirements. During the initiation and execution phases, every step was challenging. However, all team members worked together, overcame countless obstacles, and 近乎 perfectly completed what seemed like an "impossible" task.

5.Share your greatest gain and growth story from working at Guanhe.
I’ve gained "wisdom." To me, wisdom is the amount of knowledge acquired plus the "CPU" for processing that knowledge. Over these four years, I’ve absorbed a vast amount of knowledge, and through each real project, I’ve continuously honed my ability to quickly process information and make sound decisions. This kind of wisdom has been solidly accumulated through what feels like a process of "intensive practice."

6.Against the backdrop of rapid industry development, what ways do you use to continuously learn new knowledge and skills to meet work demands?
Through various channels: reading protocols, studying English literature, following industry WeChat public accounts, occasionally using tools like DeepSeek and Kimi, and consulting experts face-to-face.

7.What new goals and plans do you have for your work in the future? In which areas do you hope to make greater breakthroughs?
I have three focus areas: deep specialization, interdisciplinary integration (primarily using AI tools), and evolutionary decision-making. I hope to make significant breakthroughs in each of these areas.

8.What do you think of Guanhe’s corporate culture, work atmosphere, and advocated values? Can you give an example?
Guanhe’s culture provides a strong sense of psychological security and is highly inclusive, encouraging people to admit mistakes and speak up with differing views. In daily work, it’s common to see colleagues proposing alternative ideas and engaging in brainstorming sessions, all aimed at improving the execution of even the smallest tasks.

9.What are your expectations for Guanhe’s future? What advice do you have for new colleagues at Guanhe regarding aspects they should focus on and improve in the early stages of their career growth?
Naturally, I hope Guanhe will thrive and become a leader in the industry, contributing to human health. For new colleagues, I advise them to take steady steps in the early stages of their careers — avoid impatience or eagerness for quick results. Start by doing every task well and making sound decisions, and build good work habits and a positive mindset. This will lay a solid foundation for long-term development.
