“在观合,我领悟到的人生信条:’做难做的事,就是成长的捷径。”

At Teddylab, I've learned a life creed: 'Doing difficult things is the shortcut to growth.'

Suzie holds a master's degree from the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University, a prestigious 211 institution in southern Jiangsu. Jiangnan University's School of Food Science and Technology boasts the earliest establishment, best foundation, and broadest coverage among similar disciplines in China, and it is also globally top-notch. The young Suzie is now one of the managers of international projects in the Project Management Department. As an early employee of WuxiTeddylab, she has made outstanding contributions to the establishment of the project department at WuxiTeddylab. With exceptional abilities and a composed demeanor, she is the model of "calm and conscientiousness" that many colleagues aspire to emulate.

Suzie once believed that 'contributing to human health' was just a slogan. After officially joiningTeddylab and entering the industry,Teddylab gave her the opportunity to participate in the most highly anticipated and closely related to people's livelihood international multicenter projects. She led her team in these projects, coordinated with laboratories and sponsors, encountered many challenges, and overcame numerous difficulties. In the process of confronting these difficulties, she personally felt the true sense of mission behind the slogan 'contributing to the development of human health.'

This one-on-one interview was as serene as Suzie's temperament. She spoke gently and slowly, sharing her story withTeddylab in the most concise yet fitting words.

  1. What is your position and main job content atTeddylab?
Suzie: My current position is Project Manager (PM). My main job content includes communicating with clients to clarify project requirements, controlling and organizing the project timeline, managing and coordinating internal execution departments, as well as writing and managing related project documents.
  2. What aspects do you focus on and consider when choosing a company?
Suzie: I pay close attention to personal career development, the alignment of job content with personal interests and abilities, and growth opportunities. So atTeddylab, I feel like I'm "in my element."
  3. Guanhe was founded in Wuxi in 2020. What was your process of joining Teddylab?
Suzie: Before joining Teddylab, I hadn't considered entering the clinical healthcare industry or participating in central laboratory services. I joined Teddylab in March 2021, shortly after graduating. I was quite uncertain about my future at that time, and Teddylab was just establishing its presence in Wuxi with a streamlined team. I was interested in overseas projects and had the opportunity to meet with Founder Mr. Xu and General Manager of the Project Management Department Mr. Jin. Through our conversations, I was deeply impressed by their professionalism, enthusiasm, and sincere dedication to serving clients. I was also attracted to the atmosphere of Teddylab's Shanghai team and the platform and depth of learning that Teddylab provided, which sparked my passion for deepening my involvement in this industry. Now, like the company, I remain true to my original aspirations and work with my team on "pioneering" projects.
  4. How has your perception of Teddylab changed since joining?
Suzie: Before joining Teddylab, I viewed the role of a project manager as similar to a role in a large internet company, where the focus was on controlling progress and procedures, with mostly repetitive communication and not many challenges. But after joiningTeddylab, I found that our projects offer great opportunities for project managers to grow and expand their understanding of various clinical trial functions.Teddylab also provides ample opportunities for learning and growth, striving to develop each employee into a versatile talent. Not only do we enhance our project management expertise, but we also participate in various professional and general training programs to deepen our knowledge of quality management, laboratory skills, and management abilities.
  5. What aspects of Teddylab attract you to work there long-term?
Suzie: Personally, the company and platform have given me enough room for growth. I consider myself quite adaptable, so I eagerly seek opportunities for continuous growth and the chance to reach the "ceiling" of the industry. Therefore, I hope to grow more at Teddylab in the future. Currently, the Wuxi Teddylab team has expanded to 200 or more members. With the integration of more colleagues, we have become more like an extended family. AtTeddylab, there is no sense of hierarchy.Teddylab encourages those with ability and courage to take the lead, which is very suitable for employees like us who have just graduated and are full of enthusiasm and passion.
  6. Are there any memorable or touching moments at Teddylab for you?
Suzie: There are many. I approach each project as if it were my own child. As a "newbie mom," seeing my "child" take its first steps is heartwarming and fulfilling. The moment each of my projects is successfully launched is memorable and touching for me. I have always remained true to my original aspirations. Additionally, within less than a year of joining Teddylab, I had the opportunity to lead a team independently. It's fulfilling to see that I've helped others grow and to hear their sincere recognition and thanks.
  7. What hobbies do you have outside of work to relieve stress from your busy schedule? How do you manage the balance between work and life?
Suzie: Currently, I don't have any long-term hobbies, as maintaining hobbies in today's society can be quite a luxury. The most stressful-relieving thing for me is to go out for a walk and chat with old friends. I believe that the relationship between work and life doesn't need deliberate handling. Your choices in work and life reflect your personality. Everything has its pros and cons. If you choose to rest at this moment, then closing the valve to get a moment of rest is the fastest way to handle it.
  8. What are your expectations for Teddylab's future? What advice do you have for new colleagues at Teddylab regarding their careers and outlook on life?
Suzie: Of course, I hope that Teddylab will become a well-respected enterprise in our clinical industry and make more contributions to human health. Rome wasn't built in a day, and we are on our way! As for advice on careers and outlook on life, this topic is quite broad, and I generally hesitate to give advice to young people, especially since I'm also young. I'll just say that I'm grateful to Teddylab for making us "fellow travelers." I hope we can fight alongside each other on the road ahead and move from being "fellow travelers" to "like-minded individuals."
