Those who share the same aspirations will triumph; those who ride out storms together will prosper.

"At Teddylab, I believe that: those who share the same goals will triumph, and those who ride the storm together will prosper."

Zandra officially joined Shanghai Teddylab in 2019 and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Large Molecular Platform at the Shanghai Bioanalytical Laboratory. She is one of Teddylab's proudest core strengths, having contributed significantly to the better management and operation of the Shanghai Large Molecular Platform. She is synonymous with "reliability" in the eyes of cross-departmental colleagues and an absolute presence for those in her own department to rely on.

This one-on-one interview focuses on Zandra's growth journey at Teddylab. In her three years at Teddylab, she has welcomed many significant life events, including becoming a mother, and has advanced further in her career. Now, she is a new version of herself who can balance family and work while also taking on technical responsibilities.

  1. What is your position and main job content at Teddylab?

Zandra: My current position is Deputy Director of Bioanalytical Large Molecular. My main job includes technical interfacing for Large Molecular drugs, project execution, laboratory operation management, and coordinating resources to achieve efficient and high-quality project delivery.

  1. What aspects do you value and consider when choosing a company?

Zandra: Compensation is one aspect, but also the work environment and growth platform.

  1. Teddylab was founded in Shanghai in 2016. How did you join the company?

Zandra: Before joining Teddylab, I worked for six years at a company that was affectionately known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" in the industry. After a while, I entered a bottleneck and was feeling lost, constantly seeking self-breakthroughs. At that time, I had the opportunity to meet Teddylab and its founder, Ms. Xu. I was deeply attracted by Ms. Xu's personal charm. She explained the company's situation and industry development to me in detail, and I was optimistic about the industry's prospects. I wanted to further improve myself, so I joined Teddylab under Ms. Xu's invitation. In my three years at Teddylab, Ms. Xu has supported me and given me a lot of trust and matching resources. The Teddylab team has grown stronger, but it has never forgotten its original intention, always leading us forward and fulfilling the goals set at its inception to contribute to human health.

  1. After joining Teddylab, how has your perception of the company changed compared to before?

Zandra: Before listening to Ms. Xu's explanation, "Teddylab" was just a preliminary impression for me, like a flat plan. After joining Teddylab, everything became more three-dimensional, transforming from a flat plan to 4D. Besides Large Molecular, I have access to every laboratory and platform, broadening my horizontal learning. The cultural atmosphere at Teddylab encourages us to maintain enthusiasm for learning, improve ourselves, and become Π-shaped talents. The company strongly encourages cross-departmental integration and learning, conducting research and learning mapping based on the needs of each department. Now, management training, quality management systems, and other courses have become our normalized training, which I think is quite good.

  1. What aspects of Teddylab attract you to work there long-term?

Zandra: One aspect is that the company does not forget its original intention. Another aspect is that Teddylab provides a strong platform support and gives us room to grow, allowing us to grow freely. Of course, all this is inseparable from the support and help of the leaders and the harmonious and mutually supportive atmosphere of the team. At Teddylab, everyone is my teacher.

  1. Are there any memorable and touching things at Teddylab for you?

Zandra: I have accomplished many significant life events at Teddylab, one of which is having a child. The care and attention from leaders and colleagues are unforgettable and one of the most important moments in my life. During the Shanghai lockdown in 2022, the company overcame many difficulties, and the leaders personally took charge to transport living supplies to all employees. In that environment, it really moved me a lot.

  1. What hobbies do you have outside of work to relieve stress from your busy work? How do you balance work and life?

Zandra: My work is also very busy, but I treat work as part of my life and consider my colleagues as family, finding a balance. My biggest stress reliever in my leisure time is taking care of my child. Seeing my little one makes me happy and blends my life and work together.

  1. What are your expectations for Teddylab's future? What advice do you have for new colleagues at Teddylab regarding their career and outlook on life?

Zandra: I hope that Teddylab will continue to develop and thrive, and that we can move forward together. My advice for new colleagues is that work is an important part of life, so you must find something you love to do, as it will make life much more interesting.
